FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: low-noise fan made in the form of a frame on which a shaft is mounted in the supports, at one end of which there is a fan impeller fixed rigidly to the shaft. The shaft is brought to rotation through a V-belt transmission from the electric motor located on the frame, the carcass of corners is rigidly attached to the frame for fastening fan case with inlet and outlet nozzles to it via elastic gaskets, and the shaft bearing housings are mounted on the frame via the elastic gaskets, and the shaft bearings are installed in the support housings by elastic bushes. Gaskets made of KV-1 or KV-2 mats or other vibration-isolating material can be used as elastic vibro-isolating gaskets, and bushes made of polyurethane or other vibration-isolating elastomers can be used as elastic bushes.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of sound attenuation due to increase in sound absorption coefficient by increasing the sound absorption surfaces while maintaining the overall dimensions of the air handling unit.
