FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: tunnel is formed in the subtennone space in the retinal rupture projection area, a balloon is directed into the tunnel and inflated with saline until a scleral shaft is formed. On the first day, delimiting laser coagulation is performed only for the visible edge of the rupture located on the impingement shaft, and 7 days after the first laser coagulation the patient is again seated near the laser installation. The assistant starts to blow off the balloon gradually, by dosed pressing on the valve. Simultaneously, the surgeon monitors the situation on the fundus by using a three-mirror Goldman lens through the laser device optical system. As soon as the surgeon opens the central edge of the rupture, he asks the assistant to stop blowing the balloon off and proceeds to perform the delimiting laser coagulation of the opened edge of the retinal rupture, after that the balloon is inflated to the original volume again, and 5 days after the balloon is smoothly blown off and removed.
EFFECT: method allows to secure retina adherence, reliable rupture blocking and increased visual acuity.
