FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: copolymer for improving thermal resistance of methacrylic resin comprises: 45-85 wt % of aromatic vinyl monomer, 5-45 wt % of meth (acrylic) ester monomer and 10-20 wt % of unsaturateddicarboxylic acid anhydride monomer. Wherein the mentioned copolymer has a total light transmission factor of 88% or more, measured according to ASTM D1003 at a sample with 2 mm thickness. Resin composition and moulded article comprising the resin composition are also disclosed.
EFFECT: copolymer is able to provide preservation of excellent methacrylic resin transparency, improvement of its thermal resistance and production of a moulded article with excellent appearance, which has a crucial significance for optical films.
