FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process of preparation based on N-acyl amino acid surfactants of formula I, wherein R is selected from C6-C22alkyl group, R1 is selected from H, C1-C4alkyl, R2 selected from all groups in αcarbon atom of natural amino acids except of functional groups -NH2 and -COOH, R3 selected from SOOH, CH2-SO3X, i.e., a residue selected from non-naturally occurring amino acids: aminopropionic acid, N-methyl taurine and sarcosine, and X is selected from Li+, Na+ or K+. The method comprises the steps of A) and B). In step A) the preparation of chlorides of fatty acids is carried out by halogenation with thionyl fatty acids in the presence of catalytic amounts of the same or different based on the N-acylamino acid surfactant of formula I or anhydrides surfactant of formula II, wherein R represents C6-C22alkyl group, R1 represents H, C1-C4alkyl, R2 represents all groups with αcarbon atom of natural amino acids except of functional groups -NH2 and -COOH, n is from 0 to 4, X represents C, SO. In step B) the reaction of fatty acid chloride is carried out from step (A) with an amino acid in the presence of aqueous base at conditions of Schotten-Baumann while maintaining the pH of 10 to 11 and a temperature from 20 to 45°C.
EFFECT: method avoids the additional purification steps.
