SUBSTANCE: method involves adding a fodder additive from Serratula coronata to the animal feed. The fodder additive is represented by a dry mass of leaves of Serratula coronata with the content of 20% hydroxyecdysone of 0.7 wt %, which is added in the main ration to ewes during the lactation period once a day in an amount of 15 g/head.
EFFECT: use of the invention will increase the dairy productivity of sheep and to increase the weight gain of lambs.
