FIELD: cattle breeding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to livestock sector, in particular, to a method for improving ration of milking cows in conditions of Extreme North. Method involves introduction of a biologically active additive in the form of a dry mass of leaves of Serratula coronata containing 20-hydroxyecdysone into the main ration of animals. Dry mass of Serratula coronata leaves is introduced in amount of 6 to 7 g/kg into the cows diet daily during the lactation period once a day in dose of 150 g/head.
EFFECT: use of the invention will make it possible to activate protein biosynthesis and to increase daily milk yield.
