FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: comprehensive study of calcium deposits of atherosclerotic plaques in coronary and carotid arteries is performed with a quantitative evaluation of calcinosis according to the data of multispiral computed tomography by the Agatston method. The presence of carotid arteries tenoses more than 30% (X1), values of the calcium index of coronary (X2) and brachiocephalic arteries (X3), as well as the equivalent weight of calcium deposits of brachiocephalic arteries (X4) are evaluated as factors that influence the probability of osteopenia. Based on the obtained data, the probability of osteopenia (P) is calculated according to the original formula. If the probability (P) value exceeds 0.688, probable presence of osteopenia is predicted.

EFFECT: method allows to identify the probability of osteopenia in both sexes at early stages.
