FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: working surface of the grinding wheel is profiled using a rolling roller by rolling a pasty mixture containing a powder of a metal binder, a grain of a superhard material and a plasticiser onto the workpiece of the grinding wheel. After that, the billet is dried and sintered.
EFFECT: durability of profile grinding wheels from superhard materials is increased, the labour intensity of their production is reduced.
