FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: audio and video recorder block performs recording of the ambiance in the locomotive cab by the recording unit, synchronously with recording the negotiations conducted therein, with reference to the events and telemetry parameters derived from the mentioned systems to the removable non-volatile storage medium formatted in ext3 format and representing a linux-section, wherein recording the basic video stream is carried out continuously with the sampling rate of 5 frames per second, and at the appearance of certain events, including those that require the set regulatory actions to be performed by the locomotive crew - with the sampling rate of 25 frames per second.

EFFECT: reducing the amount of the memory usage by switching the modes of digitizing the main video stream.
