FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: method of transmitting information on fire condition in sections of traction rolling stock when operating in a multi-unit system, consisting in the fact that standard systems of monitoring the operation of on-board locomotive systems additionally include a function of retransmitting available communication channels (information buses RS-485, or CAN interfaces, or by means of dry contacts) with a certain periodicity of the data packet with identification information on the section and the state of fire situation in it in real time. Display on fire situation is also displayed on available devices for displaying information (scoreboard, panels, monitors).
EFFECT: introduction of this function will make it possible to constantly inform locomotive crew on fire-prevention condition in all sections of coupling irrespective of type of installed in them systems of fire alarm and automatic fire extinguishing without additional costs.
