SUBSTANCE: invention relates to security and fire alarm and automatic fire extinguishing systems adapted for use in rolling stock. System of security, fire alarm and automatic fire extinguishing for rolling stock includes units of monitoring, indication and control, remote control units combined via a switching unit into an integrated system with heat and smoke detectors, sound and light detectors, actuating fire extinguishing devices, a backup power supply unit, locomotives communication devices and a radio communication adapter. System includes doors state sensors, a storage batteries charge level control system of the backup power supply unit, a motion parameters recorder adapter and an adapter of the network for data transmission on the system operation to a server of the unified system for monitoring locomotives onboard systems operation. Herewith the logic unit has the function of automatic shutdown of the locomotive process equipment before running fire extinguishing actuators by lowering the pantograph and switching off fans when using in electric locomotives or by thrust collection circuit breaking and the diesel shutdown when using in diesel locomotives prior to starting fire extinguishing systems.

EFFECT: system can operate in three modes: "MANUAL", "MANUAL WITH DELAY" and "AUTOMATIC" and in addition to the functions of fire and fire extinguishing control it implements the security function in the storage yard mode.
