SUBSTANCE: method for determining the frequency difference sign is based on the analysis of the sign and modulus of the phase difference between the oscillations of close frequencies and lies in the fact that the frequency difference sign is taken negative, when over the analysis time in case of positive frequency difference sign, there is an increase of the phase difference module or a decrease of the phase difference module in the negative phase difference sign, and the sign of the frequency difference is taken negative, when with the positive phase difference sign, there is a decrease of the phase difference module or an increase of the phase difference module in the negative phase difference sign. The device for implementing the method for determining the frequency difference sign comprises a sign-modular logic phase discriminator, a D trigger, a differentiating device, two pulse formers, a delay element, a subtractor, a sample-and-hold device, an integrator.
