FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radar with frequency manipulation of continuous radiation (FMCR) of radio waves and can be used for detection of moving targets, measurement of distance to object of location, speed and direction of movement. Result is achieved due to the fact that the Doppler signal obtained at different frequencies is amplified and formed, then an integer number of periods of the Doppler signal is counted and the frequency of the probing radio signal is switched from one frequency to the other at the moment when the Doppler signal passes through zero. Device implementing the disclosed method comprises an antenna, an FM Doppler receiver-transmitter, an amplifier, an amplitude-threshold shaper, a divider-decoder with a decoder, a time interval comparison unit and a measurement unit connected to each other in a certain manner.
EFFECT: technical result is expansion of radar sensors (RS) working area with FMCR of radio waves in range and speed towards their increase, enabling determination of direction of movement of location object, as well as reduction of level of out-of-band radiation.
