FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering. Method for increasing gripping band of phase automatic frequency control system with said discriminator is characterised by determining sign of difference between input oscillation and generated by controlled generator output oscillation, then control voltages are formed, having polarity corresponding to sign of phase difference, which are combined into single signal that controls generator frequency.

EFFECT: technical result is expansion of gripping band by changing symmetrical shape of discrimination characteristics of sign logical phase discriminator into asymmetrical one, and if zone of positive or negative sign of discriminatory characteristics increases, corresponding one-way gripping band increases for initial frequency detunes of corresponding sign.
