FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: lever meter consists of a thin-wall float with an open bottom placed in a tank, a tube made of a non-magnetic material is inserted inside its opening, the end of the tube placed inside the float is plugged and its lower end is tightly fixed to the bottom of the tank so that the inner volume of the tube is connected to the atmosphere, and Hall-effect devices connected to the automation unit, contacting with a permanent magnet fixed to the float and put on the tube are placed inside the tube. The height of the float and the length of the tube are chosen so that the float in its lower position hangs on the plugged end of the tube, not being able to sink to the bottom of the tank. Guides which provide a vertical position of the float are fixed on the body of the tank, while the elements of the guides, contacting with the surface of the float, have a spherical shape.

EFFECT: increased reliability and accuracy of level measurement.
