FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for regenerating spent catalyst from the dehydrogenation reactor, comprising: supplying waste dehydrogenation catalyst containing sulfur on the catalyst, the sulfur in the screening apparatus; supplying hydrogen gas flow in the screening apparatus at an elevated temperature to produce a purified stream of spent catalyst; feeding said purified stream of spent catalyst in a regenerator to obtain regenerated catalyst flow; and returning the regenerated catalyst to the reactor section through the reduction zone, wherein said recovery zone removes the halogen compound of the regenerated catalyst to produce a stream from the recovery zone.
EFFECT: increase catalyst life and effectiveness of catalytic processes.
