SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of obtaining solketal-mixed isomers 2,2-dimethyl-4-hydroxymethyl-1,3-dioxolane and 2,2-dimethyl-5-hydroxymethyl-1,3-dioxolane-through the interaction of glycerol and acetone on acid catalyst such as heterogeneous cation exchange resin KU2-8 or zeolite beta, and can be used in the production of oxygenates, improving operational properties of fuels for internal combustion engines. In the first scenario, getting solketal is achieved through the interaction of glycerol and acetone on heterogeneous acid catalyst in the flowing reactor at a temperature of 35-55°C and molar ratio of glycerin:acetone equal 1:(5-20). In the second option of the method, the solketal is produced by the interaction of glycerol and acetone in the presence of ethanol on heterogeneous catalyst at elevated temperature and separation of the products obtained by rectification, On which unreacted acetone is first isolated in a mixture with ethanol, and then separate the solketal from the glycerin and water, resulting in CC product, further obtained after separation of glycerin to separate additional phase synthesis of solketal, on which the process is carried out in the presence of homogeneous catalyst-sulfuric acid when the molar ratio of acetone and glycerin is equal to 6:1, then the reaction products with an additional stage in the solketal synthesis is neutralized by solution of alkali and combining with the products of the reaction in the primary stage of solketal synthesis, and sending them to the stage of separation again.
EFFECT: increasing process performance and lifetime of the catalyst.
