FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: carbon dioxide is insufflated in selected paraorbital biologically active points. The volume of gas injected into one point does not exceed 2 ml. The total amount of gas introduced during one session does not exceed 50 ml. 5 sessions of carboxytherapy are carried out every other day, with a duration of 2-3 minutes. The course of treatment is carried out 1-2 times a year, depending on the initial state of the visual organ and the course of myopia.
EFFECT: improved cerebral and orbital hemodynamics, retina functional state, and stabilized visual functions.
