FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: prior to operation, a complete ophthalmological examination is carried out, based on the values of the indices of which the microkeratome model and the vacuum ring are chosen. With the following values of preoperative ophthalmological examination: corneal thickness over 520 microns and cornea refractive strength to 45.0 D rotary type microkeratome is chosen, providing the corneal flap leg location in the upper part at 11-13 hours, with corneal thickness less than 520 microns and cornea refractive force more than 45.0 D longitudinal microkeratom is chosen, providing nasal location of the leg. After the microkeratome model is determined, the LASIK operation is performed, during which the formed flap is turned to the side of the leg to perform ablation at the calculated depth.
EFFECT: method reduces the risk of intraoperative complications.
