FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method of asynchronous motor control with the squirrel-cage rotor is that the control signal for the pulse-phase control system of the thyristor converter is formed by continuous measuring the residual voltage on the network buses and comparing it with a predetermined value of this voltage, in the deviation from which the control signal is corrected, while maintaining a constant residual voltage on the network bus during the start-up; the voltage drop across the thyristors is measured and compared with a predetermined value, after which, after a predetermined time, a Stop command is generated, ensuring the motor cut off during a prolonged or unsuccessful start-up.
EFFECT: prevention of engine failure with a prolonged or failed start, if it was not completed after a predetermined time.
