FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: control signal for a pulse phase control system of a thyristor converter is shaped by continuous measurement of residual voltage on buses of the network and by its comparison to the pre-set value of that voltage, at the deviation from which the control signal is corrected by maintaining residual voltage on buses of the network as constant during the start process.
EFFECT: more full use of resources of a low-duty feed network at start of an asynchronous engine with provision of normal operation of other consumers owing to monitoring and restricting the reduction of residual voltage on buses of the network.
