FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: sulfur crystallization nuclei can be produced by spraying liquid molten sulfur from a sulfur atomizer nozzle into a moving fluid stream. Part of the sulfur can pass through the liquid, and some of the sulfur can be captured and transported by the liquid stream, or all of the sulfur can be trapped by the liquid stream. Sulfur droplets that are trapped by a liquid stream can be carried by liquid to a cooling reservoir, which can be a spiral drying tank with an inclined bottom and a screw conveyor. In the lower surface of the screw conveyor body of the spiral drying container, an opening for draining liquid from the screw conveyor can be made as it moves the embryos of the crystallization of sulfur from the reservoir into the reel. A sieve and a drainage chute connected to the body of the screw conveyor can be located in the opening in order to catch any liquid and solid particles that pass through the sieve. The flushing line can help in moving solids that pass through the sieve.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to efficiently create the nuclei of the crystallization of sulfur used to grow sulfur granules.
