SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to the granulation unit for melted metal. Unit contains water injection device for granulation of the melted slag, and tank for granulation for water and granulate gathering. Above the granulation tank the condensation column if installed to gather the steam produced in the granulation tank. The condensation column contains a rectification system with water spraying device and water gathering device. The condensation column contains stack for selective discharge of the excessive steam to atmosphere. The stack inlet hole interacts with bottom zone of the condensation column, at that outlet hole of said stack is located above the condensation column.
EFFECT: invention ensures reliable removal of the excessive steam during the liquid slag granulation.
