SUBSTANCE: strain relief device (2) for protecting a tubular electrical cable (TEC) in the well comprises a hollow tubular element having the first end and the second end; at least a portion of the TEC (4) passing through the tubular element between the two ends, the TEC representing a downhole tubular control line; the internal structural support intended for retaining at least a portion of the TEC that is located within the groove portion of the strain relief device, wherein at least a portion of the cable is guided by a groove gutter along a curved path to obtain strain relief of the TEC end connection.
EFFECT: device provides protecting the end connections from the circuit integrity damage.
