SUBSTANCE: said group of inventions includes an image forming device for forming images on the recording material, and a process cartridge removably installed in the main device assembly from the image forming device. Moreover, the image forming device for forming images on the recording material, comprises an installing section for detachable mounting the process cartridge, wherein the said process cartridge includes the first unit having an image bearing part, and the second unit having a developer carrying part, wherein the said second unit can move between the contact position, in which the said developer carrying part is in contact with the said image bearing part, and the spaced position, in which the said developer carrying part is spaced from the said image bearing part, the engaging part, engaging the force perceiving section provided on the said second unit, wherein the said engaging part can move between the first position to maintain the said second unit in the spaced position engaging with the said force perceiving section, the second position to enable movement of the said second unit from the spaced position to the contact position in the image forming operation and the third retracting position to allow installation of the said technological cartridge, pressing the said technological cartridge, when the said technological cartridge is installed in the said installing section.

EFFECT: simplifying the device design for separating the developer carrying part and the image bearing part of the process cartridge for providing the combination of the image forming device and the process cartridge, which practically has a lower cost and a smaller size than the combination of the prior art, enabling the correct mounting of the process cartridge in the main assembly and preventing the uneven developing of the latent image on the photosensitive drum.
