FIELD: image generation.

SUBSTANCE: area of application: imaging. The invention is characterized by the cartridge removably installed in the main unit of the electrophotographic imaging apparatus containing a developing roller configured to develop a latent image; a developing frame rotatably supporting said developing roller; a supporting element movably supporting said developing frame; a clutch switchably made between a state wherein a driving force is transmitted for rotation of said developing roller and a state wherein transmission of the driving force is blocked, wherein said clutch includes a blockable part rotatable by this driving force; a control element rotatably supported by a supporting part mounted on said supporting element for controlling transmission and blocking of the driving force using said clutch, wherein said control element includes a blocking part lockable with said blocking part, wherein said control element is made so that said blocking part is rotatable around said supporting part between (a) a non-blocking position wherein said blocking part is retracted from the rotation path of said blocking part allowing said clutch to transmit a driving force to said clutch, and (b) a blocking position wherein said blocking part locks with said blocking part stopping rotation of said blocking part, thereby blocking the transmission of a driving force by said clutch; and an actuating part provided on said developing frame for actuation of said control element, wherein said actuation part is capable of rotating said blocking part between a non-blocking position and a blocking position.

EFFECT: provided is possibility of improving the mechanism switching the transmission of the driving force using a locking clutch in conjunction with the operation of unlocking the contact between the photosensitive drum and the developing roller.
