FIELD: image forming devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a developing device used in an electrophotographic image forming device and a coupling element used in an electrophotographic image forming device. Disclosed group of inventions includes versions of developing devices used with electrophotographic image forming device, versions of developing cartridges used with an electrophotographic image forming device, and versions of couplings used with an electrophotographic image forming device. Developing device comprises: i) a developing roller for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive drum, developing roller is rotatable around axis and ii) coupling element for transfer of rotary force to developing roller, wherein coupling element includes: part of receiving of rotary force, engaged with part of application of rotary force, to receive rotary force from drive shaft, and a rotary force transmission part for transmitting a rotary force received through the rotary force receiving part to the developing roller, coupling element is configured to receive angular position of transmission of rotary force to developing roller for transmission of rotary force for rotation of developing roller, and part of angular position of disengagement, which is received for element of coupling for its disengagement with drive shaft and in which element of coupling is deviated from angular position of transmission of rotary force, at that, in response to movement of developing device, when movable element moves in said one direction from position, in which coupling element is located opposite to drive shaft, coupling element is disengaged from drive shaft by displacement from angular position of transmission of rotary force to angular position of disengagement.
EFFECT: providing a mechanism for moving the coupling on the side of the developing device to ensure uniform rotation of the developing roller.
