METHOD FOR MOVING ACTIONS ESTIMATION IN BADMINTON Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A63B71/00

Abstract RU 2626547 C1

FIELD: sports.

SUBSTANCE: in the game center GC on the surface of the badminton court, a light emitter placed at a given height above the court surface, controlled by a computer, is used to create a spot of light of a specified diameter. In the given game zones, at the given height, contact devices are placed, a scoreboard with indicators displaying the court with the game zones is located in the court center at the given height, contact devices in the game areas and a scoreboard with indicators are connected to the computer. A sequence of athlete movements from the game center to the predetermined game zones is set on the computer and a time delay for movement signal sending to the game zone from the time of athlete return to the game center. The direction of movement to the game zone is set by giving a signal to the corresponding indicator on the scoreboard. The image of the court with the game center and the athlet is recorded by a video camera, located together with the light emitter, the video image is transferred to the computer. The athlete moves from the game center to the specified game zone, closes the appropriate contact device by touching with the racket or hand and returns to the game center. Signals of contact devices closure in game zones is transmitted to a computer which determines the starting point of the athlete's movement from the game center, measures the time from signal sending to the board indicator before the athlets begins to move from the game center, time of athlete moving from the game center to the predetermined game zone and corresponding contact device closure, determines the time of athlete return to the game center, measures the time of athlet movement from contact device closure in the predetermined game zone to the game center, calculates the time of athlete movement from the game center to the predetermined game zone and back. After each cycle of athlete's movements from the game center to all game zones, the computer calculates the optimal position of the game center using the formula: GCx,y = min Σ|ti - tj|, where GCx,y is the game center position with x, y coordinates; ti is the time of athlete movement from the game center to the i-th game zone and back; tj is the time of athletemovement from the game center to the j-th game zone and back, symmetrical to the i-th game zone with respect to the lines passing through the game center parallel to the court boundaries, or symmetrical the i-th game zone with respect to the game center position, and moves the light spot to the calculated optimal position of the game center. Based on the data obtained, prospective children can be selected for badminton lessons, individual training of motor activities of badminton players becomes possible.

EFFECT: method allows to determine the time of the sensorimotor reaction as the time from signal application to the scoreboard indicator before athlete movement from the game center, the time of athlete movement from the game center to the specified game zone, the time of athlete movement from the given game zone to the game center, the time of athlete movement from the game center to the given game zone and back, to optimize the game center position.
