SUBSTANCE: in the method for generating panoramic images from the video stream of frames in the real time mode, the sets of characteristic elements are detected on the images of the frames, the image of the current frame is compared with the resulting image, the coordinates of the displacement vector of the current frame are determined and the image of the current frame is shifted by the calculated coordinates of the displacement vector, the overlap and the offset image of the current frame are added to the result. Around the detected characteristic elements, characteristic rectangular areas are formed, many characteristic rectangular areas are compared. The image of the current frame is compared only with the neighboring reference frames and only in the interest areas of the images of the current and reference frames, the average intensity of the pixels of the current frame is calculated; the coordinates of the displacement vector of the current frame are determined with respect to the neighboring reference frames; the image of the current frame is shifted relative to the images of adjacent reference frames and added to the resulting image.

EFFECT: ensuring the algorithm acceleration of generating panoramic images.
