FIELD: mining engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for laboratory determination of the absolute gas permeability coefficient for stationary filtration in core samples of ultra-impermeable rocks. The method involves replacing the hydro-fluid of samples in the core holder from the oil with distilled water with the installation of two separation vessels. The useful volume of separation tanks is calculated taking into account the need to completely fill the space between the rubber cuff and the core holder body and the additional volume of water to increase the crimping pressure to the reservoir pressure.
EFFECT: increasing the productivity of research and preservation of samples.
