FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: cutting unit for a self-propelled harvesting machine with a mowing mechanism contains a transmission group including at least one bevel gear placed into the transmission housing and the power take-off shaft of which is connected by means of a swivel shaft to the drive shaft of the knife reducer interacting with the eccentric transmission. The knife reducer is placed into the housing. Inside the transmission housing between the bevel gear and the articulated shaft, there is a safety coupling with at least one prestressed retainer. On the power take-off shaft, the hub is mounted with the possibility of free rotation, which is connected to the articulated shaft and interacts with an arm. The hub and/or the arm are made with at least one recess for receiving at least one stopper ball as a retainer.
EFFECT: cutting unit of the self-propelled harvesting machine ensures the torque limiting and protects the mowing mechanism and its drive from damage.
