SUBSTANCE: hinged unit for corn harvesting is designed for installing on a self-propelled grain combine harvester and comprises harvesting devices for gripping and guiding corn stalks, picking corn cobs and transporting picked corn cobs. The hinged unit comprises retracting devices oriented along the width axis of the unit, picking devices located behind them in the direction of the harvested crop flow, consisting of cob-plucking fingers, rotating in opposite directions, as well as a transverse conveyor equipped with screws moving in opposite directions. The conveyor allows to gather harvested corn cobs in the central part of the hinged unit, where they can be transferred to an inclined conveyor. The retracting devices and / or the cob-plucking fingers and/or the transverse conveyor can be driven from at least one power take-off element of the grain combine harvester. Wherein at least one power take-off element is connected by a propeller shaft with at least one smoothly adjustable reducer mounted on the hinged unit. The reducer comprises an outlet shaft connected to the drive shaft of the retracting devices and/or the drive shaft of the cob-plucking fingers and / or the drive shaft of the transverse conveyor and/or the main drive shaft of a grinding device for grinding corn stalks.

EFFECT: hinged device allows to optimally coordinate the operating mode of individual harvesting devices with the respective harvesting conditions.
