SUBSTANCE: hinged unit operating regardless of the rowing of the crop to be harvested, includes harvesting devices, including retracting devices, picking devices and at least one transverse conveyor. The retracting devices extend along the width of the hinged unit. The picking devices are located behind the retracting devices in the direction of flow of the harvested crop. The transverse conveyor is located behind the retracting and picking devices. The transverse conveyor and a picking device can be driven from a common drive mechanism. The hinged unit can be additionally equipped with a second drive mechanism serving as a drive solely for an additionally installed grinding device.
EFFECT: hinged unit has a simple and reliable design for harvesting.
