FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device for measuring the water level in the reservoirs includes a vertically arranged pipe, in the lower part of which there is a hole for supplying water to the cavity of the pipe. Inside the pipe there is a freely floating float which is made in the form of a hollow or solid disc overlapping the pipe cross-section along its internal contour with a gap, and also a distance meter located in the upper part of the tube, the probing beam of which is directed mainly to the central part of the floating disk. The pipe in the upper part contains a protective cover from the meteorological precipitations and an outlet hole connecting the cavity of the pipe with the external air of the reservoir, the tube in the lower part comprising a nozzle with a hole which is placed coaxially with its main axis.

EFFECT: simplified design of the device, increased accuracy of measurement.
