METHOD OF CULTIVATING POTATOES AND JERUSALEM ARTICHOKE IN TWO-FIELD CROP ROTATION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A01G1/00 A01B79/02

Abstract RU 2628578 C1

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method includes autumn ploughing of soil, cutting ridges, loosening the soil in row-spacing, planting tubers, harvesting leaves and tubers, disking and ploughing and fertilization. In the first year, in the first field, Jerusalem artichoke is placed in the fodder crop rotation after harvesting leguminous grasses, and potatoes - in the second field after sweet clover planted for green manure under the cover of spring grain crops. In autumn, disking and plowing, loosening and levelling with soil compaction, spreading organic fertilizers and forming ridges with a row-spacing of 90 cm, planting tubers with their simultaneous treatment with a stimulating solution are carried out simultaneously. In the second year, volumetric hilling and sowing sweet clover in the row-spacing, mowing the stalks of sweet clover and Jerusalem artichoke or potato tops and collecting them in a trailer vehicle, excavating and laying tubers in a roll and picking them up by a potato harvester are carried out simultaneously. In the first year in autumn sweet clover is ploughed in for green manure. Pre-harvesting removal of tops is carried out with grinding it and collecting it into a vehicle.

EFFECT: method allows to increase the crop yield and to reduce the ecological impact on the environment due to increasing soil fertility.
