SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture. The method consists in soil tillage, planting tubers, inter-row cultivation and harvesting. At that, on one part of the field the topinambur is placed for tubers, and on the other - for green mass. Before harvesting the tubers the green mass is mowed and removed, the stubble and the rhizome parts are crushed, mixed with the soil at a height of 6-8 cm from the ridge top and sent to the furrows. The tubers are harvested with a potato harvester. The harvesting of green mass on the second part of the field is carried out at the beginning of flowering, in autumn the furrows are loosened, and the crushed stubble and rhizome part of topinambur is placed in them, mixed with the soil at a height of 6-8 cm from the ridge top and sent to the furrows. In autumn or in spring the pre-sowing treatment of the field for grain or forage crops is performed.

EFFECT: method provides increased yield of topinambur tubers and green mass, as well as improvement of soil fertility.
