SUBSTANCE: test object is placed in a protective container, the container is placed on the frame in the mounting seat and rigidly fixed in it, the first detector is placed in the limb groove, an angle (+α) between the radiation direction and the detector is set, a neutron flux is fed, the second detector is inserted into the groove, an angle (-α) between the radiation direction and the detector is set, light-struck films are irradiated, processed to produce images at an angle ±α. The installation for implementing the method for controlling products includes a neutron source, a protective container, a detecting system, additionally comprises a frame on which the detecting system is arranged, made in the form of a rotary limb with a mounting seat for fixing neutron detectors in the form of a diametral groove, pivotally mounted about an axis, parallel to the axis of the controlled product by a given angle, and a semi-circular cut-out in the limb for the passage of an extended product when the limb is turned by an angle ±αi relative to the direction of the neutron beam.

EFFECT: ensuring the possibility to increase the information content, accuracy and clarity of obtaining results in product research.
