FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for express diagnostics of hidden inflammatory processes of the breast and reproductive organs of cows includes histamine determination in the supernatant obtained by precipitating proteins of the liquid part of the blood with acetonitrile. Precipitation of the proteins of the blood liquid part is carried out with acetonitrile, which is taken in a ratio of 1:2, shaken, kept for no more than 2 minutes, 90-100 mcl of caustic sodium and 400-500 mcl of 2% copper sulfate are added, the mixture is shaken and the presence of histamine in the supernatant is determined, and the reaction is defined by the colour change. The light blue colour indicates a positive reaction, and the violet colour indicates a negative reaction.
EFFECT: method allows to determine the presence of a hidden inflammatory process in the cows bodies for 5 minutes and with high confidence.
