FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: method for express diagnosis of postpartum metritis in cows in real time is characterized by the fact that it includes taking 5-10 ml of cervical-vaginal mucus from a cow, placing it in a sterile test tube, adding 3-5 ml of water, shaking and immersing in a test system solution, impregnated with a chloroform solution of a fluorescent reagent – 2-(6-oxo-2-phenylimidazo[1,2-b]pyrido[4,3-e][1,2,4]triazin-7(6H)-yl) acetic acid, holding for 2-5 s and visual registration of a change in the colour intensity of the reagent zone compared to the initial one, fixing the development of postpartum metritis if the colour intensity of the reagent decreased or disappeared under natural light or a fluorescent green glow appeared when the test system was illuminated with UV light with a length waves 356 nm.
EFFECT: invention allows to develop a method for express diagnosis of postpartum metritis in dairy cows in real time using a fluorescent reagent by analysing uterine cervical mucus.
