DISASSEMBLY OF AMMUNITION LOADED WITH YELLOW PHOSPHORUS Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC F42B33/06

Abstract RU 2629275 C1

FIELD: weapon and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: method involves a preliminary physicochemical modification of yellow phosphorus-conversion to red phosphorus by polymerisation in a homogeneous reaction mode by heating the munition. The necessary thermal regime is maintained due to the accumulated thermal energy of the hull munition components, as well as the thermal effect of the polymerization reaction directly in the hermetic munition hull. Depressurization of the hull and recovery of the obtained red phosphorus. Separate elements of the munition hull are heated to different temperatures taking into account their thickness/mass and distance from the boundary of the hermetic joint of the hull with the ignition cup. Separate heating is carried out from inside the ignition cup. In the process of heating, heat can be removed from the sealed junction of the munition hull with the ignition cup.

EFFECT: invention allows to reduce the time, energy costs for munition disassembly, to improve the quality of produced red phosphorus.
