AMMUNITION BODY Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: military equipment, applicable in development of ammunition both for jet and barrel artillery.

SUBSTANCE: the ammunition body has ogival, cylindrical and bottom sections. The body is made for assembly-disassembly, a central bulge with a groove and an annular stop is formed in the bottom section. The body is provided with astringent in the form of a hollow upright with a threaded sleeve rigidly fastened to the ogival section, floating pull rod hinge-joined to a sealed head with flats installed for rotation and longitudinal motion in the groove with the annular stop in the central bulge of the bottom section. The hollow upright is made sealed, its end face is located at a distance at least of 0.15 of the body diameter from the bottom, the floating pull rod is provided with a guide.

EFFECT: enhanced adaptability to manufacture, safety of stripping, simplicity and convenience of evacuation of the explosive from the ammunition on expiration of the guaranteed terms of storage, provided filling of the body with the explosive by different methods and separate storage of body components and explosive.
