FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for adsorptive processes in the gas (vapour)-adsorbent system. In the horizontal adsorber of discontinuous operation, containing a cylindrical body with covers and a bottom, the covers are spherical and installed to the left and to the right of the horizontally mounted cylindrical body. There are charging doors with rapture diaphragms, a nipple for vapour disposal in desorption and a nipple for a safety valve in the upper part of the body. There is a nipple with a distribution grid for feeding vapour-air mixture in adsorption and air in drying and cooling in the left cover. There is a layer of adsorbent in the middle part of the body on beams with supports, which carry a demountable grate, on which a layer of grid rests. And the upper grid, covering the adsorbent layer, has weights on it for preventing the adsorbent from carry-over in desorption, and the waste adsorbent is discharged through at least two discharging doors, displaced symmetric about the vertical axis of the body, in the bottom of which an inspection hole with a nipple is installed for condensate removal and water supply and a bubbler with a nipple is mounted for moisture vapour supply. The bubbler is made along the entire length of the body of at least one perforated cylindrical pipe and attached to the surface of the bottom by position spacers and the coefficient of perforation of the bubbler cylindrical surface lies in the optimum range of values K=0.5…0.9. The ratio of length L of the cylindrical surface of the body to its diameter D is in the optimum ratio of values L/D=1.5…5.0. The ratio of length L of the cylindrical part of the body to thickness S of its wall is in the optimum ratio of values L/S=300…1125. The ratio of the adsorbent layer height H1 to length L of the cylindrical part of the body is in the optimum ratio of values H1/L=0.05…0.27. The adsorbent is made in the form of balls, and of solid or hollow cylinders, grains of general surface, generated in the process of its preparation, and in the form of short lengths of thin-wall tubes and rings of equal sizes of height and diameter 8, 12, 25 mm.
EFFECT: allows increasing the degree of gas flow purification from the target component and dust due to the increase of the contact area of the adsorbent with the target component.
