FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: universal set of gauge blocks consists of five groups of blocks. Sizes of blocks are subject to dependences: A1-m=An-(m-1)m, Anm-m=A1-m+(nm-1)δm, where A1-m is the size of the first block of the group with the number "m"; An-(m-1) is the size of the last block of the group with the number "m-1"; Anm-m, nm and δm is the size of the last block, the number of blocks and the size step of group blocks with the number "m". Step values δ1…δ5 of the block sizes in groups are determined by the range 1:10:20:200:2000 relative to the step size of blocks in the first group. The number of blocks in groups is subject to the dependence nm=Km-K(m-1). Km and K(m-1) are the values of the ratio of the sizes of the last blocks in the groups with the numbers "m" and "m-1" respectively to the value of the size step in the group with the number "m". K1…K5 are natural integers in the intervals 100≤K1≤150, 12≤K2≤62, 7≤K3≤57, 2≤K4≤52, 1≤K5≤10 for groups 1…5, respectively, satisfying the condition , where N=n1+n2+n3+n4+n5.

EFFECT: increase in the effectiveness of the set by reducing the number of blocks and the weight of the set and expansion of the technological capabilities.
