FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: when performing reoperation of laser specialized keratomileusis, the source of the lateral illumination of the operative field is set to visualize the edge of the previously formed corneal flap, then the middle periphery of the cornea is pressed with a flat spatula so that the tip of the spatula is directed to the limbus and the distance between it and the limb is 3 mm, the edge of the flap is visualized by the appearance of a broken edge of the reflected "flash" and the resulting groove on the surface of the reflective portion of the cornea. Above the visualized edge of the flap, the epithelial layer of the cornea is cut, a spatula is inserted into the formed slit to a depth of 1-2 mm and a partial exfoliation of the cornea is performed along the entire perimetre of the flap. Then, at the foot of the flap, the spatula is inserted over the entire width of the flap and the whole flap is exfoliated by laterally moving the spatula from the foot to the opposite side. In order to exfoliate the flap, a flat spatula with a width of 2 mm having a rounded end and a smooth flattening of both planes towards the end is used.
EFFECT: improves visualization accuracy of the edge of the previously formed corneal flap, and also allows to maintain the integrity of the corneal flap, eliminating the risk of side complications during reoperation of laser specialized keratomileusis.
