FIELD: printing industry.

SUBSTANCE: device for printing on a brochure comprises a printing system and a transport system for transporting the brochure. The transport system is designed to press the brochure by only one edge of the brochure when transporting the brochure, the transport system comprises a press frame. The press frame comprises an upper pressure plate and a lower pressure plate, the lower pressure plate is vertically movable to press the front edge of the brochure between the upper and lower pressure plates and move the transport frame longitudinally, the transport system further comprises a stopper gate to prevent longitudinal movement of the brochure behind the stopper gate. The device is configured to initiate the brochure pressing by the transport system when the brochure is next to the stopper gate. The printing system is arranged to move the rear edge of the brochure toward the discharge portion of the printing device.

EFFECT: providing the possibility to print on a document, valuable product or other object being authenticated, providing the possibility to read for authentication and verification.
