FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: built-in scanner has coherent source which aims light beam to light a product, and detector unit designed for data points acquisition by light dissipated from multiple different product parts to acquire a large number of independent data points - usually 500 or more. Digital signature obtained from data points is saved in database together with the image of what was printed on product. Later, identity of product which is supposed to be initially printed product can be verified by scanning supposed original product to obtain its digital signature. Then search in database is performed to find matching. If matching is found the image stored in database with corresponding digital signature is displayed for user for additional visual verification that the product is original. Image is displayed together with other relevant product descriptive data.
EFFECT: security reliability enhancement.
