FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method and device for determining the initial coordinates of an independent unmanned underwater apparatus (IUUA) is proposed. The device consists of a supply vessel, a remote-controlled unmanned underwater apparatus, an unoccupied unmanned underwater vehicle, a first radio receiving antenna, a first radio navigation receiver, a second radio receiving antenna, a second radio navigation receiver, a hydroacoustic antenna of the hydroacoustic navigation system from an ultrashort base (HANS-USB), HANS-USB apparatus, a first on-board calculator, a control system, a second on-board calculator, a hydroacoustic antenna of the first hydroacoustic information transmitting apparatus (HITA), a first HITA, a hydroacoustic beacon responder, a hydroacoustic antenna of the second HITA, a second HITA, a sector review sonar, a depth gauge, a Doppler hudroacoustic lag, a correction and control system.
EFFECT: conducting effective subglacial studies in high arctic latitudes by means of an independent unmanned underwater apparatus, reducing the error in estimating the initial coordinates of an independent unmanned underwater apparatus.
