SUBSTANCE: composition is described for application in mineral processing comprising a polymer comprising, at least, one carboxylic acid and a filler selected from the group consisting of kaolin, talc, clay, white carbon, aluminium hydroxide, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, calcite, marble and their mixtures. The polymer comprising, at least, one carboxylic acid is a homopolymer of acrylic acid or a copolymer of acrylic acid and an unsaturated monomer selected from the group consisting of maleic acid, fumaric acid, maleic anhydride and combinations thereof, and wherein the said polymer is in acid form and is not neutralized, has a molecular weight (Mw) of 1000 to 10,000 g/mol and is characterized by better rheological characteristics in mineral slurries with respect to the control polymer compared to carboxyl composition, molecular weight and polydispersity, wherein the control polymer is a completely neutralized polymer. The method for processing mineral raw materials is also described, and the method for manufacturing a product selected from paper, ceramic and ink, that comprises providing the above composition, is described.
