FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of controlling a battery charge comprising at least one element (10, 11, 12). The element comprises a negative electrode (1), a first positive air electrode (2) and a second positive oxygen discharge electrode (3). For each element, when the current flowing in the element between the negative electrode (1) and the second positive oxygen discharge electrode (3) is supplied, the absolute value of the potential of the negative electrode (1) is compared to the critical threshold value, wherein the negative electrode potential (1) is determined in relation to first positive air electrode (2). When the absolute value of the potential of the negative electrode (1) reaches a threshold value, an excess of charging current is diverted, depending on the difference between the current supplied to the element and the charge current.
EFFECT: improving management efficiency and service life.
