FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method to diagnose sleep disorders is implemented using the sleep disorder diagnosing system. At that, output signals are formed using an audio input device to transmit information related to the sound coming from the patient in a sleeping environment. A structured light is projected on the patient using a light source, the light is deformed when the patient moves. The light reflected from the patient is received by the detector. Output signals are formed using the detector that transmit information related to changes in the structured light, caused by patient movement. Processors are used to determined patient's motion based on the distance between the light source and detector and the changed angle of the reflected light from the structured light, received from a separate moving point on the patient. Images obtained from information related to changes in structured light are plotted to obtain motion vectors. The motion vectors indicate the direction and amplitude of patient movement and facilitate segmentation of body parts so as to determine the information related to mouth and/or limbs movement. Processors are used to diagnose sleep disorders based on the sound coming from the patient and patient movement in a sleeping environment.
EFFECT: enhanced usability and simplified screening in sleep disorders diagnosing.
